Into The Wild Of Kanha And Bandhavgarh
Tour Highlights
Kanha and Bandhavgarh rank among the highest tiger-density reserves in India, and this tour puts both on one route. Kanha's sal and bamboo forests inspired Kipling's Jungle Book, while Bandhavgarh has consistently logged some of the country's best tiger sighting rates. Four game drives across the two parks give you a real shot at a tiger encounter, along with sightings of gaur, barasingha, and over 300 recorded bird species.
- Two morning and two evening jeep safaris in Kanha National Park
- Two jeep safaris in Bandhavgarh National Park, home to one of India's highest tiger densities
- Chance to spot the rare hard-ground Barasingha, found only in Kanha
- Explore sal and bamboo forest terrain that inspired Kipling's Jungle Book
- Birdwatching across both reserves, with over 300 recorded species
- Comfortable jungle lodge stays close to both park gates
This tour is built around game drives, not sightseeing stops, so expect early starts and long hours in an open gypsy. Kanha's core zone is spread across wide meadows and dense sal forest, giving trackers room to follow pug marks and alarm calls. Bandhavgarh's terrain is more compact, with rocky outcrops and the historic Bandhavgarh Fort visible from several safari routes.
Naturalists accompany every safari and know the resident tigers, their territories, and recent movement patterns, which matters more to your sighting odds than luck alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
No safari operator can guarantee a tiger sighting, since these are wild animals in an open forest. That said, Kanha and Bandhavgarh consistently post some of the highest sighting rates in India, and four safaris across two parks meaningfully improve your odds compared to a single-park trip.
No. Park entry fees, safari permits, and gypsy charges are billed separately at prevailing forest department rates, since these vary by zone and season and are paid directly at the gate. Our team handles the booking and permit process on your behalf.
Both parks are open from October to June, with April to June generally producing the strongest sightings as water sources shrink and animals move toward remaining waterholes. Both parks close for the monsoon from 1 July to 30 September.
This package includes shared gypsy safaris, typically up to 6 people per vehicle as per forest department rules. If you'd prefer a private gypsy for your group, this can be arranged at an additional cost.
Yes, with some caveats. Safaris involve early starts, bumpy forest roads, and a few hours in an open vehicle, which can be tiring for very young children or travelers with mobility concerns. Warm layers are essential for winter morning safaris regardless of age.
